The Robin Hood of Islam

Mardiah          : I don’t like him very much.

Firdaus           : You don’t like Anwar?

Mardiah          : He stole my money yesterday.

Firdaus           : Yesterday?

Mardiah          : Yes, not only that last week he also took Ifi’s watch.

Firdaus           : Mar, don’t hate someone too much.

Mardiah          : What’s wrong then?

Firdaus           : Don’t you remember the story about Abu Dzar al-Ghifari r.a.?

Mardiah          : You mean the Robin Hood of Islam.

Firdaus           : Do you know the story?

Mardiah          : Yes, because before he converted into Islam he was the leader or the robber.

Firdaus           : He robbed the rich people who were stingy and never cared to the poor.

Mardiah          : He gave the loot to the poor who were starving and need it.

Mardiah          : He got torture from the infidel of quraisy.

Firdaus           : It happened after he spoke out syahadatain from Masjidil Haram.

Mardiah          : He got the second torture after...

Firdaus           : After destroying the sculptures that used for worshipping.

Mardiah          : And he got the third torture.

Firdaus           : Yes it inspired Rasulullah to change his strategy to spread out Islam   openly.

Mardiah          : He was sent by Rasulullah to spread out Islam in his people.

Firdaus           : And because of Allah’s help and bless he...

Mardiah          : He succeeded in converting his people and The Aslam people into Islam.

Firdaus           : What lesson can you take from him, my friend?

Mardiah          : I must not hate anyone too much even he is a criminal.

Firdaus           : Alhamdulillah, you realize then.
